Well I have finally have gotten around to posting this. Originally released on Damaged Goods in the early 90's. This contains their 3 singles and one comp. track. Also included are a whole slew of live tracks for you. Interesting to see the band in their later incarnations veering towards the sound that Rank N File would build on to indie stardom.

Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat, great band with too few releases. Rank N File, although interesting, were no Dils.
ReplyDeleteYour welcom Lom! Neil, if only they had recorded more than the three singles and the song Blow Up! Their status surely would have been even higher than it is. It just blows me away that bands like The Dils, Weirdos, Negative Trend, Crime, etc. that they did or could not record more. Just think if there would have been an album or two of Dils, or even The Avengers. It is frustrating that two bands like The Dils, and Avengers have so little recorded history.

And if The Dils were to continue, no doubt they would have been doing what Rank N File were doing. In fact I consider Rank N File as an extension of The Dils.

Have you heard the swedish band Sator´s cd Barbie-Q-Killers Vol.1 from 1994? They do Dils Can´t Shake It and National Guard along with other covers by The Suicide Commandos,The Zeros, Avengers etc. Well worth looking for!
