  4. Welllll we have to thank you really! Love The 'Tone! The song Johnny Too Bad made me seek out The Slickers (old reggae and rocksteady is my second love).

  5. Trojan put out some amazing early Ska comp box sets that are well worth looking into. The expanded version of The Harder They Come soundtrack is also well worth your time. Excellent material!

  6. Thanks for all these 'Tones posts Kenny!
I hadn't heard any of there stuff until you did.

So, looking around the internet, this is what I've found on the band's post-'Tones output:

Absolutely nothing on Dan, who was on vocals & guitar. He was in a band called 'Blind Mole Rat', and they put out an EP in 1993 called "Rat-A-Tat-Tat". Nothing else.

Ben, on guitar & vocals: went on to Oi!-based super-stardom in 'Hardskin'.

Bob, on bass: was playing bass on Steve Ignorant's last North American tour.

Both Ben and Bob were in 'Schwartzeneggar' before the 'Tone.

Paul, the drummer: played in The Splitters, Sinister '66, and Roddy Radiation’s Skabilly Rebels.

So, cheers for all the bits, and hope you find some more great bands in 2012!

  7. Cheers Biopunk! Did not know some of your tidbits. I knew that Ben played in Schwatzenneggar, heck my old band supported them in San Francisco. Knew he was in Thatcher On Acid, but did not know he was in Hardskin...just thought it was the Wat Tyler guys...good to know. Such a great band too bad we won't see anymore recording! Thanks for the history lesson

  8. I miss the 'Tone too. Apart from doing Hard Skin, I think Ben is driving Fleet Foxes about.
